This Privacy Policy explains how Deevan ("Deevan," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Deevan mobile app. By using Deevan, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information: your email address and authentication details when you sign up (including via Apple Sign In).
Profile information you provide: name, birthday, gender, origin city and country, occupation, bio, interests, and what you're looking for in the community.
Content you create: voice rooms ("Stages") you host or join, gatherings and events you create, and reports or blocks you submit.
Technical and usage data: device and app information, and crash/diagnostic data used to keep the app stable.

How we use your information

To create and manage your account and profile.
To provide core features: live voice rooms, gatherings, events, and community connection.
To enforce safety — including processing blocks and reports and removing abusive content or users, generally within 24 hours of a report being filed.
To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app.

Voice rooms

Live audio in Stages is transmitted in real time to other participants in the room so you can talk and listen. Deevan does not record or store the audio of voice rooms.

Service providers

We use trusted third-party services to operate Deevan. These providers process data only to provide their services to us:

Supabase — authentication and database storage of your account, profile, and content.
LiveKit — real-time voice transmission for Stages.
Apple — Sign in with Apple for authentication.
Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. Your profile details and content you choose to share are visible to other users as part of using the community. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Your choices and rights

Edit your profile at any time in the app.
Block and report other users from voice rooms and chat.
Delete your account in Settings & Privacy → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile and the personal data associated with it.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and associated personal data are removed.

Children

Deevan is intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use the app. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and accounts found to belong to a user under 18 will be removed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
